so,
as a cny splurge, i bought myself a new compact camera. :)
a sony in fact. which is weird considering how much i like the canon outcomes. but i thought for almost the same price, i could get better features on the sony.

in the past few days, ive been meeting the last few people i wanted to see before i head off to melbourne tomorrow morning.
come to think of it, it's no longer that exciting. at first it was, considering how many people were gonna be there and now, i think it's not that special anymore.
call me selfish but i liked the fact that i was there and everyone else was once upon a time here.

been seeing the girls(plus guys) from green house cheer. I cant believe im leaving them. I would have loved to see them through sports day. but i know they'll make me proud. This year's batch are the funnest and most lively people i know and it's been a great time coaching/choreographing for them. Im amazed at how much the boys have loosened up and enjoy cheer now. :') to any of the cheer girlies/guys who're reading this, yes i know what it's like to want to win, but our luck hasnt been on our side for the past few years but dont let that destroy your confidence and never forget that there are some things in your routine that you guys did better than the other houses even if it was one motion or a jump or the fact that you guys were synchronized. So be proud of what you've already done and if it means so much to you to get a free lunch (ahem! mr. hew's lunch) i'd willingly pay for all of you because you didnt only listen to me, but you took it with you and gave a better outcome.
an added bonus? I love the new friendships and bonds ive made with the juniors. :) thank you for making me feel like one of you. :)

the two shots above taken with barney my new camera :)
too bad the girl who took the second photo didnt have steady hands or that would have been such a nice photo :(

on the other hand, i'm super over the moon that i managed to see nicole and elisa before i left. Did some major shopping as well, and like my usual self, it's always more money for less things. (which im still trying to change but i just cant! :( booooo!)
spent the day with lisa, went to eat nasi bryani and then we hung out at school. then went to the hospital since sissy was under a minor surgery. so i had to 'babysit/visit' her. i swear, with my fascination and admiration for hospitals, it should have been me sleeping on the bed -.-

note: photos below were taken with my new sony cybershot :)

bestie for life baby.

'cause i clearly love hospital food' pose

and guess who dropped by :)

sing it with me! "so im leaving...on a jet plane, dont know when i'll be back again..."

happy valentine's day :)

HANOI 2011

so i've returned from hanoi,
the country where honking is merely out of courtesy so that no one gets into an accident, where motorcycles and bicycles dominate the roads, where snails are a delicacy (french asian country, a must), where they experience the 4 seasons (in which we arrived in winter), where the heart of Hanoi, really is in the history and the people on the streets.

itinerary for the 4 days:

day 1: checked in, went to see the water puppet show, trishaw ride around the city, visit a temple, dinner.

day 2: checked out, proceeded to a 4 hr van ride to halong city to get on a cruise that goes round the halong bay where there are a total of 1169 islands (of course we didnt see all) went on a small boat ride and saw floating vilages called Vung Viet and then skipped swimming and kayaking cause it was TOO COLD. so i did a body massage and a manicure, dinner and squid fishing.

day 3: woke up early, missed tai chi and sunrise, went for breakkie and climbed the cave of surprise, brunch, checked out, returned to hanoi, shopped for 2 hrs and went for dinner.

day 4: woke up early, visited the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (where we saw his actual body) , saw the palace and his two houses, the Confucianism temple, lunch and then off back to kl

so pictures are worth a thousand words right? (note: more on fb)
