im awake at 7.38 am.
yeah not my usual morning time.
wanna know why?
cause ive decided to fast today :)
heeee.
i know i know, im not muslim, but i must say,
i am more malay than i am chinese.
and ive fasted before.
so i thought why not?

excuse my lazy bum, i should have been up before 5.30 but instead i got up at
6.30. :P
oh well.
wish me luck and a good day ahead.

we had design com this morning instead of principles and elements,
and vanessa told us
our work is due next wed.
-.-
we're all only half way done.
we are sooo screwed.

just to show what ive done so far
this semester.
it's for a subject called
production skills which is all about sketching and drawing and colouring. :)

we had to bring in items with rough textures.
-leave,shell,Cinnamon, wood and some herb.


my final,
-capsicum, chili and peas. :)
im guilty.
i didnt really colour the peas :P
i drew it but a friend of mine helped me colour it.

i cant stand it when people think art's easy. it's like nothing.
"it's so subjective. how can you learn anything?"
i've heard it all.
i HATE IT.
art is not design,
but if you can scribble or draw out your thoughts on paper and have everyone understand what you're talking about, then it becomes design on paper.
and to be honest, not many people know how to do that.
im blessed i do.
art isnt just testing your abilities to draw and sketch, but it's to challenge the mind and seek the highest level of creativity that can be obtained.
and with that, you can achieve many designs.
everything around you is based on a design.
it's because of people like us, you have the things around you.
we're the basic fundamentals.
without design, engineers cant build.

things like typography, the true meaning of fonts like HELVETICA.
people think it's just ordinary typefaces on computers.
if you knew, it would amaze you!
things like web design or advertising,
you look at it as something 'pretty' or attractive.
but do you really know the whole process that goes behind it? what it's real purpose is?
do you know how hard and exhausting it is to be in a course like that?
illustration,multimedia design and photography.
they stretch the limits of art and design
like you cant imagine.

there are so much more to art and design that i dont have the time and space to elaborate on,
but i wish people would understand how HARD it is.

so the next time you wanna criticize artists, think wisely.

shopping frenzy

it's been a while since i shopped.
no, seriously.

and so sarah followed me while i did most of the shopping.
she was in search for a babushka doll but
we didnt realize how expensive they can be :S

so i bought a dress from supre.
which you'll see if/when i get and post pictures from this saturday night.
a headband to match and some brown
bangles which ive always wanted,
cosmetics.
(cause those are my weakness) :D

hello readers. :)
like the new layout?

so my week's been somewhat an easy breeze.
today's class in the morning got canceled, so i decided to go for the debate,
in which case we won o.o
i know!
we were hoping we'd lose.
oh well.
my stay there was only for the first round.
then headed for english which was as usual, boring.
came home, dropped my things and i hung out with yew han,joel,kun,shu yen,samantha,
yoon wei and jason kok in the city and then i came home. :)

tomorrow's class got canceled. and thursday's class which was canceled
is being replaced with wednesday's class.
heeee.
so ive got my day off tomorrow
which im using to do my work and shop
with sarah lee :D

sounds all damn cool
but not so in a few more weeks, cause that means we're gonna be far behind and we're gonna need to catch up on things.
sigh.
cant have it both ways i guess.



i want my long hair back! :'(
